Production process:

 It is made of high-quality low-carbon steel wire rods. It is made of high-quality low-carbon steel through drawing molding, acid pickling and rust removing, high-temperature annealing, hot galvanizing, cooling, etc.

 

 

 

Galvanized wire characteristics:

Differences between hot galvanized wire and cold galvanized wire:

(1) Hot galvanization is to galvanize in hot molten zinc, the production speed is high, and the galvanized layer is thick but not uniform. The minimum allowable thickness of the hot galvanized wire in the market is 45 microns, while the maximum thickness is over 300 microns. The hot galvanized wire has dark color, consumes more zinc, forms an infiltration layer with substrate metal, has good corrosion resistance, and can be maintained for dozens of years in an outdoor environment.(2) Cold galvanization (electro-galvanization) is to gradually plate zinc on the metal surface in an electroplating trough through current unidirectionality; however, the cold galvanized wire is low in production speed, and has uniform plating layer, thin thickness which is generally 3 to 15 microns, bright appearance and poor corrosion resistance. It is rusted in several months.(3) Compared with electro-galvanization, the hot galvanization has low production cost and low influence on environment.

 

Application of hot galvanization:

Due to thick galvanized layer, hot galvanization has higher protective performance, so it is important protective plating for steel and iron parts in a severe working environment. Hot galvanized products can be widely applied to chemical equipment, petroleum processing, offshore exploration, metal structure, power transmission, ship building, etc. It is also adopted in agricultural fields in recent years, such as pesticide spraying and greenhouse, construction industry, gas transmission, electric wire casing, scaffold, bridge, guardrail barrier and other aspects.
